Always Eat After 7 pm – final thoughts

This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.

“Your body follows a circadian rhythm—an internal metabolic clock—in which hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day. Cortisol is one of these hormones. Under normal circumstances, it is naturally elevated in the morning to get you alert and ready to go. Over the course of the day, it naturally falls. As cortisol drops, the sleep hormones, melatonin and serotonin, rise. They, along with growth hormones, support nightly healing and repair, helping us look and feel younger.”

For the past month I’ve been chipping away at Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. I hope that you’ve learned something (much like I have) from these posts.

I still have a long way to go

But, I put a LOT of weight on and I know that this is a lifestyle change that is important to me. Why? Because with so many fad diets on the market, it was important to me to find a weight loss program that was based on SCIENCE. Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.

We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal

So far, so good

My journey so far hasn’t been easy, I had a rough start and I tend to hit difficult times, but with each stumble, I’ve been able to get up and keep going. I think that’s one of the reasons that this diet has been so easy for me to follow. I don’t feel deprived as I’m able to eat in the evening and I’m still enjoying the foods that I really enjoy, with no boxed or frozen meals that taste like the cardboard they’re packaged in for me. Best of all, my golf swing has improved because, with the weight loss, it’s easier to find my center of balance.

My journey so far with Always Eat After 7pm

June 8, 2020 by Mr. S No Comments

COFFEE

That’s how I’ve always started my morning. 2 double cups with half & half and a no-calorie sweetener. Zippy keeps trying to get me to switch to either black or at least use Stevia in place of my 4 yellow packets, but I like my coffee this way. Sometimes I eat breakfast, other days I just wait until lunch. Breakfast can be anything from eggs or pancakes or leftovers from last night’s dinner. There isn’t any consistency in my diet for sure.

What I learned is that

“One of the simplest 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals, lemon water is a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function.”

For me

The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, I seem to have the most willpower to stay on the diet because I get to eat during the hours when I am the hungriest. What I’ve learned from this program is that this also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.

Learning to eat again

At 67 years old, I’ve had lots of training in bad habits. It’s not so easy to undo 67 years in one day, but I’m learning slowly. I give myself permission to mess up and get back on the wagon again. I’m learning that carbs aren’t the enemy, it’s my way of thinking about dieting is. We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal. It’s taken a bit to get that through this thick head of mine, but I am.

Using Always Eat After 7 PM

With easy-to-follow meal planning, food lists, and delicious recipe ideas Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion has been my guide. I especially like the recipes that break that mold of NO DESSERT like the No-Bake Salted Caramel Bars that feel like such an indulgence.

I hope that my journey helps you

I have been tracking my progress and even had the opportunity to chat with the author Joel Marion  over the past couple of months. It’s helping me stay with the program and hopefully it will help you to open up to a new way of thinking about dieting that works.

The best gifts for dad this Father’s Day

by Mr. S No Comments

I am a father and a father-in-law. Over the years I have gotten some pretty bad Father’s Day gifts from my family gifts. There were ties that I never wore. Socks that didn’t fit. Dinners that were burnt and more. But, I knew that there was so much love involved in choosing them, cooking them, and giving them. Any gift from your kids or wife is a good gift.

The one’s that we put into this guide are just the ones that I WISH I had gotten. Hopefully, this year I won’t be getting a squatty potty or a tracksuit that looks like it was from the 80’s.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads and for the mom’s and kids….do a little shopping from these Father’s Day Gifts and you won’t find that unworn tie stuffed in the corner of his dresser 10 years later.
